I love the Valdemar series and have been a fan since the beginning. I own the soft cover books, and although the illustrations were a little on the dark side, they were not blobs of darkness. The illustrations that I see on my Kindle are. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but with transcription problems *by S***L on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2016* 5 stars for the story line, which I have loved since my first copy, but 3-4 for the Kindle version which has some transcription issues. The beautiful images by Larry Dixon are unviewable (blobs of black, no shading pulled though at all) and there are enough typos including missing punctuation, missing spaces, and misspellings, to make it distracting at various points. This was present in Owlflight to some extent, but it is quite prevalent in this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful sequel *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2018* This book tied in all the legends of Valdemar and made them poignant once again. It introduces new heroes and heroines and some new animal champions as well. WARNING SPOILERS: I love the relationship between Darian and Keisha.
