It made the sound, and then it went into shock mode in it constantly did not stop shocking him he did not stop talking to him. My pom was on the shock collar and it worked great for the barking but one day, it kept going off for no reason, sounded very painful for my dog so we stopped using it. We liked the idea of this collar, especially the rechargeable option but it doesnt seem to work, my pom still barks like crazy, it doesn't beep or anything.
