I was looking for a good rebuildable wick alternative. This does the job perfectly. It has great absorbency, great flavor preservation, is easy to wick, and can handle immense amounts of heat with little issue. This thing was able to sustain 200 watts with little choking. This is by far one of the best wicking materials you can get-- better than most wicks on the market. It's cheaper than the professional alternatives, too, like Cotton Bacon Prime.Need a capable wick out of the box that does a superb job? Buy this product. Also handles higher temperatures versus regular cotton.The only problem is the technique in wicking it. So I've tried thinning the tails by cutting off most of it except for literally 10 strands of cotton going into the well. Even with this, IT STILL, wicks like a vacuum cleaner. The next thing I'm trying is to not cut the wings too short. Maybe if I leave some bulk on the tails; with 10 strands going into the well it will take some time to fill up the bulk before it gets to the coil.On all the wicks, I pack the coil heavily, more than with regular cotton.
