This is bordering on dishonest.The base is pressed out of mild steel and the only reason it does'nt have dangerous sharp edges is that it has a thick layer of blue enamel paint. The base is too light. The rod which screws into the base comes in two parts which don't screw together too well so the rod has a kink in the middle.If you tighten the rod into the base with a reasonable amount of force then it strips the threads of the threaded hole through the thin steel sheet which is supposed to secure the rod.The feet are rubber U section edging strip which has been cut into short lengths and secured with superglue. On the stand which I received the feet had become hard and cracked and one of them had fallen off. But before sending it to me the seller had repaired the broken foot with Selotape !
