This is usually used for Mobile Broadband/MiFi devices. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Increased the signal better than similar 4G antennas I've tried *by V***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2019* I recently got a ZTE MF279 Homebase and the LTE signal (on the unit, not connected devices) was switching between 2-3 bars and averaging around 15Mbps down and 22Mbps up (sometimes higher, depending on the time of day and network usage). However, after installing this I am now getting a consistent 3 bars and averaging over 20Mbps down and 30Mbps up. I had to play with the placement a bit and I may be able to find a better "sweet spot" (just got it today) but so far I'm happy because I was looking for something to help strengthen the signal to the tower and that's exactly what it does (albeit, not in a "superhero" kind of way but more of a "nice person that holds the door open for you" kind of way). Since I left it alone I have not seen the signal drop back down to two bars.I can't speak on whether it strengthens weak connections to devices connected to the hotspot/router because my place is too small for dead zones, but it definitely strengthens the connection of the router to the cell tower(s). It's probably not as good as a directional cellular antenna mounted outside and pointed at the nearest tower, but for those who don't want to deal with that and/or need something portable that can also be used indoors then this works nicely.
