The float unscrews from the valve. clean up or drill out a hole in the end and reassemble with a 5/16in i.d. o-ring. problem solves. Instead of half a roll of teflon tape to attach the hose fitting, another o-ring to the rescue - a 3/4in o.d. to be precise, makes it water tight. And one of my two did not work at all until I discovered that the water outlet hole was filled with plastic chips and needed to be redrilled.
