One bed was much higher quality than the other. I was surprised to see the difference in quality with respect to the slats was so noticeable as I installed the support systems. The other night we went and purchased two new mattresses. After that, my support systems arrived and I wanted to get them installed ahead of the mattress delivery. I started with the bed with a "dip" in the center. I though the mattress was junk (although it wasn't cheap), but what was junk/cheap was the slat system on the bed. As soon as I pulled the mattress off, I could see how they warped, and the extreme points were at the dip. So, I installed the system and used the same slats. The mattress no longer had the dip - visually or when you lay on it. It is solid now. The second bed wasn't as extreme, and the slats were almost perfectly level although you could see a slight dip in that mattress. There likely was some give in the slats, but nothing extreme.The system installation is very easy. I did both without any assistance, although a second set of hands would have been helpful. Total install time is probably between 30-60 minutes (add 10-15 for getting tools and unboxing). The second one took longer, only because I trimmed the underside of two slats to allow for flush mounting of the support rails. I'm not sure I needed to do this, but while I had everything pulled apart, the extra 10-15 minutes were worth it.Also, after installing the system I went and cancelled the new mattress purchase for the first bed. With the dip gone and proper support under the mattress, I should be able to get a few more years out of it. That alone saved $750 on the mattress I just purchased - and had I not bought this system, a new mattress would have had the same problem. In truth, I likely could have done better slats as well on that bed, but even if I did that, I still wouldn't put in slat supported bed without this system. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wooden Slats? You Need This!! *by J***B on November 24, 2018* After listening to my wife lament the demise of our comfortable bed, I decided to do something about it. The bed frame had a cracked and sagging slat support rail. Found this Knickerbocker iSlats and decided it might be exactly what was needed. Everything in this product description is completely accurate, it works perfectly. All parts were included in the box and assembled quickly with excellent directions. It is AMAZING what a difference it made to the entire bed. It is like having a brand new mattress again. Apparently the wooden slats had been doing a lousy job for a long time before the rail finally cracked. The mattress and box spring sit three inches higher and stays rock solid once you lay down. If you have low spots or valleys in your sleep surface, this might be all you need. I am completely satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to everyone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to build! *by J***L on October 22, 2017* I purchased this bed slat replacement to provide additional support for one of my beds that previously used wooden slats. The package includes all the pieces you need, though you will need all the wooden pieces shown in the product image (or equivalent). The product is also easy to adjust to beds of different heights, so if you like your bed a little higher or a little lower, this shouldn't be a problem. The package is light and can be easily transported to any bedroom in your home. The box opens with just a pair of scissors and you will find all the contents neatly laid out. From there it just a matter of installing four screws to construct the H-frame that replaces your wooden slats. Actual construction of the H-frame took about 10 minutes. Then bring the H-frame over to where you are replacing your wooden slats and adjust the screws which have the furniture gliders on them to the proper height. Finally, screw the H-frame into your bedframe with the included screws.
