I typically use Aquila strings for a softer more rounded sound, but I really like these -- not so bright as to be overly agressive, but allows you to perform a great sounding range from soft/tender to bold/aggressive. Very pleased with these and planning to replace them later with the same as these may be one of the best sets I've mounted on my baritone uke. Fluorocarbon low G wound or unwound, seller?** A: The low g for my tenor was wound and awful. I went with Brown. They sell a low g pack with a nylon low g. **Q: Why is g tuning at c with baritine fluorocarbon strings?** A: I have a PONO Mango wood baritone with Low G strings. Sounds beautiful with fluorocarbon strings without a problem. I don’t play anything on high G. ALL my ukes have Low G strings. My baritone is tuned GCEA without issues **Q: Can I use tenor strings on a long neck concert?** A: I am surprised J. McGurk and Gerald W haven't heard of long neck concert Ukulele's. It is exactly as it sounds. They are Concert sized bodies with tenor length necks so they have the benefit of extra frets with wider spacing between the frets. The best of both worlds. Smaller body with a more roomy neck. I don't see any reason you couldn't use these tenor strings on a long neck concert ukulele. Very pleased with these and planning to replace them later with the same as these may be one of the best sets I've mounted on my baritone uke. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great strings *by L***R on May 2, 2026* Great strings, good sound. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The D string broke on stringing up my ukulele *by A***Y on March 31, 2025* Update: I was contacted by D'Addario the day after I wrote my initial review and was absolutely taken care of by George in customer service After I received a new set of strings and stretched them in, I must say I'm impressed they have good presence, tone and are comfortable on my fingers to play Okay I was all excited about trying these D'Addario Titanium strings on my new Kala KA-B baritone ukulele. I put them on and was just stretching them in and the D string broke, right in the middle (very odd) I Didn't even get one song on them. I am a long time guitar technician and know my way around changing strings and many other things. I did email D'Addario and hoping they just send another set.
