I've gone so far as to unsolder the built-in headers on Arduino Megas and soldering screw terminals for more reliable connections -- and this accomplishes the same thing but is much easier. If you happen to blow up your Mega, this also makes it easy to swap in a new one. COST is a big factor as it's expensive, but it's so well worth it to me! It's a very high-quality part as well. CAUTION: It's not always convenient to access the screws of a terminal when the one above it has already been wired -- especially with ferrules as I prefer to use. There are 92 clearly marked and well organized terminals. They can take up to 18 AWG solid wire . The terminals are well oriented for ease of access. I do have one minor quibble. The 6-pin SPI connector ,that I use for programming, is a little bit off-center. This has required sanding the connector on one side with a Dremel.
