They will work in any metal (steel) lateral filing cabinet regardless of brand name or age. File bars are sold 40 inches long ready to be cut to your required length. Multiple bars can be used in any combination allowing you to design your own modular system for side-to-side, front-to-back and letter or legal size filing. If you need extra clips for your project, please see our other listings for clip packs. Made in the U.S.A. Installation instructions: NOTE: THESE FILE BARS MUST BE CUT-TO-LENGTH BEFORE INSTALLING. Metal is 1/16" thick and cannot be cut with tin snips. Common methods for cutting are a hacksaw and vice, bandsaw or chopsaw. Measuring and cutting instructions are included. After cutting the file bar to length, just snap a clip on each end and it's ready to attach to the cabinet drawer wall or another file bar. The hanging style clip is designed to attach to a variety of "edge or ridge" thickness' (up to 1/8" thick maximum). Each clip includes (1) locking screw which prevents the clip from sliding sideways. The bars and clips are made of heavy duty 16 gauge galvanized steel. I was afraid that it wouldn't be long enough, but it was. This product came with instructions on how to cut the bar and all of the necessary pieces to install it. It was easy to do and we had the bar installed within 5-10 minutes. The bar is strong and sturdy. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a file bar.
