This curling iron was being hyped this week by an “influencer” on Instagram. I purchased it immediately and noted the 8 day return policy. First thing I did is read the instructions (had already watched the YouTube videos) and began curling small sections of my hair into dozens of ringlets. Curls were subtle and shiny, and when I ran downstairs to show the girls my curls they all gasped, “IT’S FLAT! DID YOU JUST USE A FLAT IRON?” It was indeed flat! In just under 20 minutes my hair had gone straight back to straight with only a minuscule bend at the ends!I Contacted company for a return in less than 24 hours of receipt and they said “NO! Can’t be returned because it was opened”. Very disappointing business practices. My curling iron must be defective because it didn’t live up to the hype, at all in my experience. My $19 hot tools iron from high school makes longer lasting curls.What good is a healthy curl if it only lasts for a few minutes out of the day? Learn from my mistakes, go to Ulta and get ANY other curling iron. I have hilighted my hair since I was a teen, so my hair is dry. About a year ago I went to a new salon and my hair was severely over processed. My hair looks visibly dry and damaged and since it is very fine and straight, it is noticeable. My hair was long so I cut it to about my shoulders. It has been really slow growing and still looks extremely brittle and damaged. I use a curling iron for some added volume, not to get all over curls. After using a regular curling iron my hair always had a very fried look on the ends and wasnt smooth at all. The Hair Beauron was a game changer! After the first use ( and it seems to keep getting better) my hair looked way healthier and no fried or frizz looks on the ends. It feels softer and has a sheen it didn't before. While pricey it is worth every penny. Not sure exactly how heat can improve hair condition. Red flag #1 - you cannot return this iron after "removing" the iron from its packaging....which you obviously have to do to even see the product. I immediately saw that the barrel was too short for my hair. Before even using it, I requested a return. Biopgramming rejected my return since it was taken out of the seal. What a joke for a $450 curling iron!!!!They sent it back to me, and I tried it since I am now stuck with this item. Let me tell you - IT DOES NOT WORK! It does not create curls, it creates limp waves that fall after 1 minute. My $30 curling iron from CVS is 100000x better. I am truly in shock that this company is in existence. Their customer service is despicable and the product is even worse.
