We used it to kick off a math unit on demonstrating understanding on whether a math equation is true or false. Teacher pay teacher had a great unit to supplement this book. In addition, we used a balancing scale that proved whether the equation was equal or unequal, balanced or unbalanced. Have fun!

Excellent math read aloud!! I definitely recommend this text! My first grade students loved this book! I saw a couple reviews saying this was wordy. My kids love stories and don't mind if they are long. I personally didn't think it was too long or wordy, but I could see how some might. We loved this story. It was adorable and got a few giggles along the way. Cute addition to a lesson on balance.
