The yellow slider on top has both Shrader and Presta positions. It's easy to slip on and off without losing a significant amount of air, and the readout is very visible. The head swivels to make the gauge fit comfortably in your hand no matter what the angle of the valve. I've had this gauge for a year and definitely recommend. **Q: How does the air release reading work on this?! i press the release button and air is escaping but the psi doesn't lower on the readout.** A: You have to be in the correct mode for this. After first reading the pressure, press the button with the circle on it labeled "tune" then use the yellow air release button to let out air and the unit will automatically read the new pressure. **Q: Does this work correctly with presta valves? i know the description says so, but other gauges also claim that and do not perform well with them** A: Yes, it works with presta valves. There is a setting for presta and a setting for schrader. Testing on a presta requires you to quickly get the guage on the valve.You must also remove the gauge quickly. It would be nice to have a presta guage that worked as easily as the guages do on the scrader valves, but I haven't found one. This guage works fine on both types of valves **Q: Does this gauge read low enough for Fat bikes 4-7 psi?** A: It does read in the single digits but no decimals. So, if you're looking to fine tune to 1/2 or 1/4 psi increments, it isn't that precise. The Accu-Gage analog units can do that. However, I have one the goes to 15 psi max and reads in 1/4 psi increments and one that goes to 30 psi max, 1/2 psi increments and they read 1 full psi apart from each other. It's so convenient, easy and useful to have. I have three bicycles (with three different types of valves - Presta, Schrader, Dunlop), one motorcycle and a car. This fits them all. Literally one size fits all. Once while riding my road bicycle I had to repair a puncture on the road and fill up the tube using a small pump. I didn't have any gauge to check. Upon arrival I checked the pressure on the gauge attached to my floor pump. It was 20 psi. Dangerously low for a road bike. I could've easily got another puncture before reaching home. That's when I decided to always carry a pressure gauge during my road biking trip. The puncture repair kit is incomplete without this. This solution from Topeak solved the problem of having to keep two different types of gauges for two different valves (Dunlop and Schrader are similar from a gauging or filling nozzle point of view and are considered as one, Presta being the other). I would've preferred a small pouch to put it in. I wouldn't put it naked inside my saddle bag which has other hardware that can potentially scratch this little beauty. I have asked my daughter to stitch a small cloth pouch for it. A screen light would make it perfect but perhaps push the price up. Disclaimer - I didn't buy it from amazon.in.
