It works on all american outlets I have tried. They refunded my money and I then bought the Mr. Coffee 4 cupper. I did put this info in immediately - it should have been there. With the Mr. Coffee I use 4 spoons of coffee and put the water level to 2 cups. It makes one mug sized cup of very strong coffee - exactly as my husband likes. **Q: I recently broke the coffee pot, the machine is fine.
