It has a very minimal plastic smell after cooling as would be expected with this type of material. Scent oils can be added prior to pouring or to finished lures after cooling. As with any plastic some fumes will be present during melting and the product should be used only in a well ventilated area. **Q: can this be used to make those new fidget toys the ones that pop?** A: This product is used for making soft plastic fishing lures. It is not recommended for other uses. **Q: What types of pigments can I use?** A: You have to use pigments and glitters specifically for lure plastisol as they have to take the heat needed to melt the plastisol. Step 1: shake the bottle really well for about 30 seconds. Step 2: pour the Plastisol into something and heat it in 1 minute increment until liquid is clear. Keep stirring it during the process whenever possible. Step 3: test a drop or two on some surface to see if it sets.
