Good quality and easy to use
Absolutely outstanding for home, office, parties, or small spaces. The ice-making performance is fast and reliable, producing plenty of ice without taking up much counter space. The 26 lb daily capacity is impressive for a compact machine, and the size is convenient for everyday use. The stainless-steel appearance looks clean and modern, while the overall build quality feels sturdy and durable. It is easy to operate, the controls are simple, and the functionality, ease of use, noise level, and value for money are excellent. A very practical and reliable ice maker. EASY TO CLEAN AND COMPATIBLE

Fast, large water reservoir and Consumer Reports Recommended
Not knowing much about countertop icemakers, I turned to my Consumer Reports subscription and discovered that this unit was listed as a "CR Recommended" machine. Unlike many of the units, this one has about twice the water capacity than most of them out there. It also makes ice extremely fast. I had pictured having to have the unit turned on all the time and really didn't want that. It turns out they tell you to transfer the ice to your freezer which is exactly what I wanted. So in the matter of a couple hours it makes enough ice to fill our in-door ice hopper and we drain the machine and prop the lid open so it will dry out. A hopper full of ice last us a few days. One of the negatives of this and probably all of these units is that it produces wet ice which will freeze together in your freezer (see pictures) however they break up easily with a butter knife or even the ice dispenser itself seems to be able to break it up. Why the wet ice? If you look at my second photo you will see several metal rods poking down. These have freon passing through them and get very cold. Water is pumped from the reservoir directly below the basket into an upper tray. The compressor turns on and the rods get super cold. Ice forms and in less than 10 minutes the compressor turns off, the water drains back down into the reservoir and the ice on these rods slips off into the tray. The air in the unit really isn't cold so the ice is wet. It then gets pushed into the tray and it starts all over again. The manual says the ice will last in the tray 18 hours but I move the full tray into our freezers hopper as soon as it is full where it sticks together. I think this explains why you have to smash commercial ice bags to break them apart as they are probably made the same way. I love the fact it was recommended by CR and the familiar Frigidaire name...as opposed to XFUNDUICE or something silly like that. I also love the price point, especially since some of the other CR Recommended units were over $700 and there was one that had the same exact rating number that was over $300! It comes with a 1 year warranty but for something like $30 you can extend it 2 years. That is probably not a bad deal but I had a hard time spending 30% more since it will pay for itself (based on purchasing ice from the gas station as we have been doing) in a few short months. Oh, and shame on the well known appliance company that won't stand behind our 2020 covid-built refrigerator with built-in icemaker. The only reason their repairman is lonely these days is because they refuse to honor warranty claims.

Excellent ice maker
This little ice maker is fantastic. It’s compact so it doesn’t take up a ton of space on the counter. It couldn’t be easier to use. Plug it in, fill with water and around 8 minutes later you have ice. It makes 9 dome shaped cubes per batch. It has two size options, but the large isn’t that big. Comes with a scoop to remove from the catch basket for ease of use. I’ve found that the ice will melt quickly, but I’ve put batches in some ziplock freezer bags and let them freeze fully. It helps keep the ice from melting so quickly (and you can build up a supply if you need it). Much better quality ice than bagged ice and much easier to use. I haven’t had it very long, but so far it’s been a great purchase.

This wonderful little ice maker whips up its first batch in just 6-7 minutes!
We love our new ice helper—we really should have bought it sooner! We have an ice machine in our fridge, but it just can't keep up with our household of five, especially during the hot Arizona summer with the kids taking ice full flasks to school. Pros: This wonderful little ice maker whips up its first batch in just 6-7 minutes! It fits perfectly on the kitchen counter right under the cabinets, and the stainless steel design beautifully matches our other appliances. It's incredibly quiet, has one of the largest water capacities for a countertop ice maker, and just keeps popping out ice smoothly. Outstanding performance it's been running every day since we got it. Cons: If I had to find a downside, I do wish the ice bullets were a little larger, and also the ice tray it pauses making ice once the tray fills up. However, the ice just melts back into the reservoir to be reused, which is actually pretty handy. Overall, this has been such a great addition to our home and truly makes daily life a bit easier. I highly recommend it and I think you would too!

works great!
makes perfect ice, and pretty quiet. Ice does start to melt after a while but that makes the water colder as well so it recycles that energy ... takes around 8 minutes to make a batch , each batch is plenty to fill a glass and make a perfect drink . I personally just fill solo cups then put them in a freezer so they are ready to use anytime... works great!

Great ice maker
I’ve been using this ice maker for about a month now and it’s been great. My only wish is that the ice cubes were a bit bigger but it’s ok. It says it can keep the ice cold in its compartment for hours but I don’t think that’s true. The first batch of ice melts pretty quickly and it’s the other batches of ice that keep each other from melting. So I’d transfer them once it’s full. Otherwise it’s a great little machine!

I am amazed!
Started delivering nice cubes much, much faster than expected. Extremely easy and intuitive to operate. I pushed a couple buttons and was quickly in the ice making business. Pretty quiet, just the sound of a small fan prior to delivery of another small batch of ice. It does this every few minutes. It could keep up with a small party. It is raining today. A perfect day to get sauced with the help of ice. Found out that my well water has a LOT of minerals. Cloudy ice is caused by mineral laden water. That is often good unless you seek clear ice. Or unaffected taste of drinks. Strongly recommend!

Nice little ice machine
Purchase this ice machine to take camping. The machine produces just enough ice to be able to fill two or 3 cups. It is not a heavy duty ice machine so don’t plan on filling your cooler with this ice. I didn’t really notice that it was very loud as many have stated though it is audible when it drops the ice into the basket. I am pleased with the amount of ice it produces and the quality of the ice. Now, it’s not hard frozen ice like you’re gonna get out of your freezer. It produces ice meant to be used immediately or stored in a freezer. It’s small enough that it can be taken to family outings or camping as in my case so far I am pleased with this purchase.

Absolutely fantastic
This was all I dreamed it would be. Fast ice making, large enough capacity area to make multiple "loads". It paid for itself this summer (as opposed to buying bags of ice. Some have complained that the ice starts melting right away. It's really not that bad. I use a plastic container in my freezer and dump when I remember it's ready. One pro tip. If you put the basket in and it still won't go, take basket out, and place it straight level down. I had one episode where one edge of the basket got caught on the edge, and as soon as I repositioned it, it was fine. This thing has literally been running 24/7 since I bought it (I think it was in may.). It's my favorite purchase that I've gotten a lot of use out of. It's also whisper quiet, except for the quick dump in the basket of the cubes. The large cubes are also perfect for most med. To wide mouth water bottles. It's made a huge difference in my water consumption (our water tastes like crap, and it's undrinkable room temp. I would DEFINITELY recommend this one.

Great
Does a good job, really not for small kitchens but we bulk make and store it otherwise

Me gustó mucho
Me gustó, tarda aproximadamente de 7 a 8 minutos para hacer cada ronda de hielo, entre más tiempo está prendida funciona mejor y saca mejor hielo, muy buena para uso doméstico o comercio con bajo flujo de clientes y buen precio.

Baby it's cold inside.
Great look. Great performance. Makes ice as fast as I can use it. The copper finish perfectly fits my decor. Amazing customer service. My first one was damaged and wouldn't make ice. Easy peasy return and shipped me a new one right away. 5 stars for customer service.

114 V - American plug - requires a transformer
This is beautiful BUT is only 114 voltage, has an American plug, and requires a transformer. Because of the massive amount of space needed for everything, I had to return it.
