Susan keeps this simple, far more simple than it can be to navigate an large organization.  Leaders need a team filled with those who get things done and managing internal business partners with different needs and agendas add to the complexity of accomplishing goals. This book simply guides you through a journey to become a Integrated Partner with those in your company.  Whether you are new to a matrix organization or an tenured professional this book can help you re-contract with business partners and increase your value to your company. Most of us work in a matrix environment without the benefit of the skills and mindsets we need to be successful. Finerty does a beautiful job of articulating the "how to's" through her own voice and experience as well as those voices of others she's interviewed. She's concise and provides clear and compelling rationales for her recommendations. This book provides an outstanding foundation for everyone grappling with the challenges of working on cross functional teams and on projects that require accountability to others to whom they don't directly report.
