Or are they small enough?** A: It depends on the tea. I made a cup with very fine leaves and it was an issue. What I did was gently dunk the ball into a cup of warm water, or under the tap, to wet the leaves first. Then, let it sit on a dry saucer for a few minutes while your water boils. This causes the leaves to expand inside the ball and become far less prone to slipping thru the holes.
