It came charged some, but I charged it fully anyway.It works great with my nvidia Shield, the Home key, the Return key, the Volume key, the Menu key, the Keyboard all seem to function. I don't know about the Mouse pointer key though, probly just need some getting used to.I do not like the original nvidia Shield remote (first gen) it'd take about a minute to be responsive when the unit is first turned on. Also, there is no storage of the USB key within the unit, which is not very practical.
