It kills adult fleas within 10 minutes and prevents reinfestation and flea build-up for 7 months. Each spray bottle treats up to 2, 000 square feet. Directions & dosageidentify treatment areas, especially those where Pets frequent, such as in and around pets sleeping and resting areas. These are the primary areas where fleas, their eggs, and ticks are found. Before treatment, make a test application to upholstery, drapery, light-colored, delicate fabrics, or wood surfaces in an inconspicuous place. Prepare treatment areas. Remove motor vehicles before using in garages. For best results with surface/carpet treatments, vacuum thoroughly before spraying and discard vacuum bag in outside trash. PRN Pharmacal recently acquired Vet Kem and has begun outer label changes and will no longer be using the Ovitrol and Siphotrol names. **Q: Will this treat dog lice?** A: You can't put it on dogs. They say it treats carpeting for fleas. **Q: Is this safe to BROADLY coat carpet and furniture or only on low traffic areas like edge of room?** A: I do one room at a time from side to side in a sweeping motion to cover the entire rug. I also spray on any furniture , dog or cat bedding. Allow to dry , after 12-24 hours, I let the room air out from the smell which does disappear . Make sure you check your fabrics to make sure it’s ok because you may get a little mist on them. I have used this product when it first came out for over 20 years. I lived in Fla at the time, worked at a vet clinic where this was our #1 product sold and the yard spray. It keeps eggs from hatching for quite awhile too.
