These brushes are pretty effective in a variety of dish cleaning situations. I don't know that they'll last quite so long, but I'm still using my first one after a few months without any noticeable wear. They have bristles that don't scratch the pans but do a good job of getting stuff off. The stronger side really helps get the tough stuff. They're a good size for getting to most places. The only place I use a different brush is my tall insulated mugs. These fit inside okay, but I prefer a bottle brush for the mugs.
