After some searching on amazon, i came across this. This is insanely perfect. I wanted a red carabiner with a black gate, but all others sold them with a silver gate, plus this is has SO many other features.Pros:-the knife is stainless steel, its pretty sharp to come with, but i filed it to a razor edge-when the knife is open, the body of the carabiner provides much needed grip, and im a pretty big guy, 6' and this is nimble in my hands-the springs and bearings for the opening mechanisms are very high quality, strong gate spring and the bearing creates tension when opening knife (extra security so it wont open on you suddenly)Cons:- the gate door opens a little less then regular carabiners and the space is a bit narrower, so if you have wide belt loops, this aint gonna work- easy to forget you have it on, so be careful when going through security checkpointsThis is such a great buy,for yourself or as a gift, its a precision quality tool that attaches anywhere and is pretty much, no thought about it, 5 stars ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Handy little knife *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2011* I was using a carabiner to hold my keys, and I had a pocket knife I would carry in my pocket (when I remembered to take it). It seemed like I never actually had my knife when I needed it. I saw this carabiner/knife combo and decided to give it a try. I love it! It's just a tiny bit thicker than the caribiner I used to carry my keys, and now I always have my knife with me. It won't replace a big "real" pocket knife, but it is exactly what I wanted for my purposes (ie. opening packages, cutting string, etc.). I can't tell you how many times I have been somewhere when someone needed a knife, and I was the only one who had one handy.It seems like a good quality. I haven't had any problems with mine. I've had mine (silver color) for about a year or so, and it still looks new and is still very sharp.This is actually the second knife I have purchased..... This one (black color)is for my husband. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Made In China - Only Lasted 7 Months *by A***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2011* Unlike many of the "Made-In-USA" offering from Kershaw, these are Made in China.The knife quality is good and the body of the carabiner holds up well, but after 7 months of daily use, the spring for closure of the gate has weakened considerably. It no longer stays completely closed and the alignment must be done manually, as there is now a considerable amount of play in the assembly.They do offer lifetime warranty, but they have you mail it to them and it takes 4+ weeks for processing. Considering the cost of postage and loss of use, it is more practical to buy new.
