Getting a nosebleed used to be a huge hassle because I had to continuously press tissues into my nose until the bleeding stopped. This usually made me stop whatever I was doing, because it's hard to work with one hand pressing a tissue against my face. Even worse, I would sometimes get the type of nosebleed that would slowly ooze for hours, ruining my entire day. Once you insert this product into your nose, it stays there, freeing both of your hands to do normal activities. I've never had any "oozing" after removing the plug after 20-30 minutes, so it seems to work. It's uncomfortable to have a plug hanging out of your nose, and the scratchy texture of the cotton is extremely irritating, but it works. I subtract one star because the packaging is difficult to open. In the initial stages of a nosebleed, I'm pressing a tissue against my nose with one hand so blood doesn't drip anywhere. It is impossible to open the Nasalcease package with one hand because the envelope needs to be torn.
