The material is soft - not shiny. The stitching is OK - no off-colored threads as reported by others. I personally like the length of the bedspread - but it does need to be paired with a bedskirt - falls to midway over an average-sized queen bed and boxsprings.I think it looks really nice in my new guest bedroom and I would definitely purchase again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Color Not as Pictured *by S***V on September 9, 2018* I bought the Fern green and it is NOT the bright, spring green pictured. The color is more of a drab green/gray. However, the price was amazing, the quilt is reversible and the stitch quality is good. (This is not embossed, it’s actually stitched and the stitches are reinforced where they meet.) The fabric is soft and smooth without feeling cheap.
