**Q: can you use this for duraflame?**
A: If you're talking about a duraflame log, no I wouldn't use it.  The duraflame log already has content to start it's own blaze (paper wrapper) . 
 Timburn fireWOOD starter is for real wood as I see it.  
I'M  NO EXPERT ON THIS, but  I'd not use Timburn on a duraflame or any other non-natural log.

Timburn is easy to use, always gets the fire going, and keeps my chimney clean.  I still have to get the chimney cleaned and checked once a year, but its never too dirty or creosote plagued.  I have been using this product for several years.
