## Description

Ever Oasis for Nintendo 3DSThe desert's last safe haven is a lone oasis you call home. So draw a line in the sand and fight to protect it! As you explore the desert and solve puzzling dungeons, you'll gather resources to build up your oasis with the water spirit Esna. Allies will join your cause, so equip them with weapons, and use their skills to slay towering bosses.FeaturesThe Ever OasisTM game is a new action-adventure RPG grown from the ground up by Koichi Ishii, creator of the Mana series and producer at GREZZO,The studio that rebuilt multiple Legend of ZeldaTM games for the Nintendo 3DSTM family of systems. Their team has crafted puzzles and traps too perilous for one hero to solve. So recruit a party of allies and level up their stats to learn new battle skills. Then return to your oasis and restore it: choose which shops to build, stock their inventories, collect a share of the profits, and keep villagers happy by fulfilling requests.Rated "E10+" with Fantasy Violence

Review: Try the DEMO then decide. But remember, the DEMO's aren't always accurate. - Initially, I downloaded the demo for this game and started trying it out. I must say, I hated it and it didn't feel like the type of game I'd enjoy. But after reading some YouTube reviews and ratings on IGN and whatnot. I decided to purchase the full version since this game hit the top charts of 3DS games in 2017. And I wanted to give it another go since it was partially developed by Grezzo (who made Majora's Mask 3DS and Ocarina of Time 3DS) so my hopes were high that ever oasis would deliver something fun and exciting. After receiving this game 2 weeks ago and playing it A LOT (roughly 13 hours into the storyline/gameplay) I found myself hooked. I felt obliged to write a review. WARNING: Mild spoilers. First of all, if you're not a fan of "caretaking/farming stimulation" style games where you have to manage and check a lot of things from time to time, then perhaps this isn't the kinda game for you. This is a bit like Animal Crossing in that aspect but I can say for sure if you're not a fan of planting, harvesting, restocking etc. This ISN'T a game you'll probably enjoy because you'll be doing LOADS of scavenging for items, materials etc out in the field to restock your shops for your oasis and this can be repetitive. Anyhow, let me list out the things I enjoy and dislike about the game. Things I enjoyed: - Dungeon boss crawling. After leveling up your oasis to a certain point, you'll be sent out to dungeon crawl and obtain Lumites which protect your oasis from the entity known as Chaos. The boss battles are challenging, fun but reasonable. Your team levels will be adequate to take on the bosses of the dungeon. (This is similar to Zelda games, but the twist is that you don't get major bosses throughout. Only when your oasis starts to get overrun by Chaos are you sent out with a team to find Lumites to illuminate and rid your oasis and the dessert itself of Chaos for a certain period of time) - Team building. I like the characters, the seedlings, etc. They can form teams to go out to different places to hunt for items and battle monsters. This is similar to Monster Hunter Stories, so in this aspect, I greatly enjoyed the similar gameplay style. - Exploration. The environments, the backgrounds, music etc are really well done. With 3D turned on max on my new 3ds, the graphics look stunning and the music is epic. I love it. I love the exploration aspect where a new area of the map opens up once you discover a new opening or tunnels that lead to different parts of the desert area you're surrounded with. This encourages exploration making the game intriguing and you're constantly uncovering new hidden pathways and new items. - Features/controls/mechanics of the game. In general, the battle system is fun, not turn-based but you can switch/swap characters to use different abilities, skills, attack combos etc. I love that the game has a really good teleportation mechanic that unlocks once you reach a certain level allowing you to teleport from place to place and save as you see fit. This is a neat feature, but remember to save once you feel that you've progressed to a certain degree as the game DOES NOT AUTO-SAVE. Things I disliked: - Repetitive farming/grinding. For EXP and for materials/stock for your bloom booth and to satisfy requests/tasks of new travelers who can become potential residents of your oasis. This can be repetitive, but the developers have done a good job of alleviating this issue by forcing you to complete tasks and giving you a set of requirements to satisfy. And the feature of sending out an exploration team to scavenge for materials or stock is a neat built-in feature. - Lack of choice for residents. I don't like how the game will send you a new resident daily (daily cycle of the game, the game is time-based but not according to your local clock, this is similar to majora's mask. But you CANNOT control the flow of time. You can choose to jump to mornings but not backwards via sleeping your chief seedling but this only works after 7pm). I would prefer to be able to choose the residents as I feel that I have way too many seedling residents but not enough of other residents from other tribes... but hey, that's just me so. - Ocassional crash/lag. The game isn't perfect. It's crashed and lagged out on me once thus far. I lost the progress as a result. Not sure if this is an issue from the game or from my 3DS but it hasn't happened again so. I'll assume it's from my 3DS. Just lookout for that. All in all. This is a fun-happy-jolly game to play to relax and de-stress from a rough day. I played this after attending a funeral and it's a cute and uplifting game that is based on the ideology of restoring hope and faith to people even when you're feeling down, useless and upset. A game I recommend trying and picking up to add to your game collection if you don't already have it.
Review: A game that really grows and grows on you - Really enjoying this game. Lots of opportunity to face monsters, collect stuff and generally explore the map. Very pretty animations.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the fighting turn-based?**
A: The fighting is kind of like Kingdom Hearts. You can fight alone, or with AI characters that you can form a party with. You can also switch between yourself and your party members anytime you want. If someone's HP drops to 0, it also doesn't end the game! I found it funny that you can perform CPR on your character during a battle. Hope this helps!

**Q: Is this a sequel to oasis and beyond oasis on the sega genesis?**
A: No this is an entirely new IP.

**Q: Is there going to be physical copy?**
A: Yes! There's both physical and digital copies.

**Q: Is there good multiplayer in this game? Can I play with my friends simultaneously?**
A: Not really it's single player focused

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Muy buen juego
*by M***Z on 5 April 2024*
