They are long enough to string along my entire back yard fence. The lights have several options, which you can set. I have them set to an option where they "twinkle" which is very subtle and soft. The solar charge lasts through the evening......and the brightness is just perfect. Not too bright (I have seen complaints in the past from solar lights not being light enough, I am not trying to light up Vegas here). Great price, would buy again!
