Fantastic lighting - easy to install, great for "hidden" lighting
I connected this to a Sonoff switch, which if operated via my Alexa. Sonoff Wifi Switch Wireless Remote Control Electrical for Household Appliances, Compatible with Alexa DIY Your Home Via iPhone Android App (Sonoff Dlu) The light is very bright. I installed it in my kitchen as under counter light - it is very good. The Sonoff is a binary - it is either on or off, there are other switches available to give you brightness control - and you don't have to use any wifi connector! You can simply plug it in, and unplug when done. This is excellent under counter lighting, and I will also be using it to light some of the closets around the house, and some of my garage shelving. The white is much brighter than the white option on a color roll. The light as a sticky back to it which will stick to almost anything. Making installation a breeze. For the price, this is amazing, and so many options. Using an Arduino I am making one for the bathroom that will come on when it senses movement, then switch off after 10 minutes. The lights will go under the vanity, and will light the bathroom enough for a 3 AM visit, without leaving you blinded by the lights! You can cut the tape at any point. You can then use jumpers to place the next run around a corner or over a gap. With basic skills, you can extend those wires as long as you want them. You can also start another run with a 12v adaptor. Again, some basic electrical skills needed for that.

Great product
I bought this to help fill up remaining space in my three-way vanity, dresser mirror my only regret is not having found this one first and got in the bigger size and to have only one remote for everything. This is a great product very bright. Since again this is to fill up the remaining space I was able to go around twice with the lights… easy to install, and I love that the lights are dimmable option and a remote if you choose to buy it. I recommend if you’re unsure to get the longest length and adjust as needed. Instructions are easy to follow. A little extra info I’ve had it for almost a month and there’s some days where I have it running all night and I’ve had no issue whatsoever.

WORKS PERFECTLY FOR UNDER CABINET LIGHTING IN A HIGH END KITCHEN
I bought two kits and needed a total of 24 feet for my current project. That means I used one entire kit of 16 feet and 8 feet of the second kit for this project. These power packs plug into an outlet and that can make your custom built-in system look really amateurish so in my case I added and outlet inside one of the cabinets so that 100% of my wiring is concealed. I wired it continuously off one (1) power supply. One power supply comes with each 16 foot kit. The seller is not really clear about the actual wattage required per each LED so I looked the actual chip up (you can buy the chips on your own) and did the math. I calculated that I could in fact run my 24 feet plus feed wiring off of one power supply. Understanding the power requirements vis a vis the actual lengths you will run on your project is a vital step. Keep in mind that you can purchase a larger power supply and use it if you get jammed up. So if you get line loss and the ass end doesn't light up the way the front end does one solution is to strap on a larger power supply. But, I don't want to encourage bad habits here. Do the math and properly engineer your system so it works as intended the first time. I used 20 gauge red/black stranded wire for my feeders. I wired the Lwind RF mini monochromatic controller immediately after the power supply and fed the system from there. As I said, the entire working bits of this system are concealed in the back of a cabinet. I must say the plastic connectors they include with these LED Strips and sell elsewhere here on AMAZON are not reliable, and if you are going to go to the effort of building your own system you must test every unit before you build it, and when you have made an attachment to it. In my case I tried the plastic connectors and had too many that did not work. My time is valuable and I cannot waste it trying to fix or troubleshoot the weaknesses of parts that do not work as intended. My solution? Good old fashioned silver solder. It worked perfectly. Again, I emphasize you MUST test every connection before you install it. Once this is installed you cannot "go back" and get a do over. Treat this as though you were building your own light fixtures and QC every step of the way. I also want to point out that this LED Strip comes with the 3M self adhesive backing and I installed it into the aluminum extrusion frames which can be purchased separately. That means I adhered this item to a properly clean surface and protected it from any water, grease, splash or spray with the lenses that came with the frames and came away with a 100% custom designed system for this kitchen It works great and looks even better. Time intensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely! I attached a few photos hoping they would be helpful to anyone else that may want to do a similar project.

Easy to put up, very sticky, unexpectedly bright. Wish the power cord were a tad longer. Great value
Bought this as a Lightning Deal for $12. I'd seen these for a while but finally decided this was a good option to try. It arrived very quickly. Usually these gadgets get tossed aside and forgotten, but I decided to try it out. I plugged the power adapter into a switched wall outlet, ran the cord up the wall, and used that as my starting point for sticking up the strip. I wanted to go without the dimmer but I found I needed it in order to reach even my relatively-low ceiling. Even then I had to have a couple inches of the lighted portion hanging down. That would probably be the one complaint I have about this product. I used a cable clamp to provide some strain relief in the hope that it will prevent the strip from being pulled down by the cord tension. I used the full length, uncut. Be careful pulling the paper backing away from the strip; if you peel it incorrectly it will take the adhesive tape with it, then it won;t stick well at all. I recognized this and was able to correct it before getting far. I peeled away a section at a time, about 1~2 ft, working across the wall. It's sticky enough that I didn't need to clean (i.e., alcohol-prep) the surface, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to brush away cobwebs or dust. Once it's up,m it seems quite strongly attached. I've only had it up for an hour or so, so time will tell. I wish now I'd gotten a longer one so I could have gone all the way across the room, but this strip covers the majority of it. I'm quite impressed with the brightness overall; it seems to light up the room better than the two wall sconces. I have them actually facing down, so it doesn't project across the room as much as it could. The photos make it seem brighter and warmer than it actually is, but to my eye I can tell a nice difference. It won't completely light up a room on its own, but it does at least provide substantial fill light. I only wish I'd paid more attention to the temperature color. It is 6500K which comes out slightly bluish, and maybe not as bright as if it had been about 4000K-5000K. But ya get what ya get. Definitely getting more of these for some other rooms. But it's limited in that it needs to be near an outlet. I would love to hardwire it to a 120V light switch but that's obviously not feasible. UPDATE 11-Jul: I've had these up for over a week and I still like them. They maybe don't seem as bright as my initial impression, but still a nice fill light. What I do like most is that they are still holding strongly to my ceiling, even in hot & humid conditions. These have genuine 3M VHB thick-film adhesive. I'd bought a couple other strip rolls from other sellers, thinking they would be the same, but they use "ME" adhesive (with a logo meant to look like the "3M" logo) which is thinner and not nearly as sticky. So I'm buying at least another roll or two of the LE product, for when I want to stick the strip facing down or vertically. Be sure on these LE strip to only peel off the paper backing, NOT the adhesive tape itself. I also have been doing more research on the connection methods for joining multiple strips, splicing, tee-joints and corner joints, all without soldering (because I can't solder to save my life). So when I get more of the LE rolls I'm planning on extending this light almost all the way around my den. I also learned a bit about LED drivers which can be hard-wired to 120 VAC and provide a 12V DC current in different wattages. I'm thinking I may take down one one of the wall sconces, hardwire a driver, tuck it behind a wall, run the output wire up to the ceiling, and thus have a cleaner installation, dimmable lighting, and sufficient wattage for the extended length. UPDATE: I decided to downgrade 1 star as I find this strip has a flimsy backing, which makes it more difficult to work with when connecting strips together with the various push-and-snap connectors. (I find the other brand to be more rigid and easier to push in.)

Exactly what I wanted.
I searched for some time for a manually dimmable LED light strip for ambient lighting around the perimeter of our living room. I wanted to be able to set the dimmers where I wanted them and then use an Alexa enabled wall switch to turn them off and on from the wall or through Alexa without having to mess with dimming level each time, and these were perfect. The picture shows them during the day time on the little shelf around the perimeter of the room I built just for this purpose. It's very bright in the room in that picture, the shelf area is painted in bright white eggshell finish, and the shelf is 8-ft in the air, but the glow from the LED lights are clearly visible. The lights seem to be well made and I ran into no troubles installing 4 sets of them. The 3M tape is very sticky, so be careful what you touch it to, because once it's stuck, it's stuck. I had one place that I tried to adjust and the tape pulled the paint off. LOL, I was a lot more careful about placement after that. The set comes with little plastic clips that can be used to hold the LED tape in place and I kept them, but so far I haven't seen the tape starting to peal loose any where. If you only plan to use white light, this is a great option at a great price. I'll probably order a few more sets in the future now that I have a better idea of the kind of lighting I can do with them.

Nice and bright! 6k pure white goodness
Installed 08-06-2020 Loving it so far. I bought this item to give my outdated husky toolbox a little modern touch with some LED lighting overhead on the top box lid. When I opened this package, I was please to find that the dimmer dial can be disconnected from the LED strip. This to me, is good because if the LED strip ever dies/shorts out, it may be possible to replace the strip and reuse the old dimmer. I went ahead and tested the lighting prior to installation. All LEDs work, super bright white and stay on in all ranges of dimming. Cleaned my toolbox, peeled the protective layer off the double-sided tape, and...oops! It stuck to my shirt. This tape is SUPER sticky. I am sure this will make mounting on any surface a near permanent mount and is an excellent choice for this product. They definitely didn't cheap out like other brands. So I installed it on my lid, making turns in the strip is tricky but there's gaps between the LEDs where you can fold and make a 90 degree angle. Finished the install and the lights look amazing. Now I can easily read paperwork or fix small components when working on a late night project. A literal night and day difference. I can't comment on durability as this is the first day it's been installed, but will update my review if I run into any issues in the future. As of now, I would recommend this product. But keep in mind, this is NOT waterproof, and all the LEDs are exposed.

Sewing Machine
My sewing machine lit up so well with this. If you are not used to working with these they are easy till you do a corner. Save the headache and get the plastic connector pieces to make corners. It's so much faster and they are only a few bucks. They do not flicker. Work great. Do not get hot. It really does have a dimmer switch on it that works.

They work, they are bright, and they are super easy to install
I bought two sets of these. One for my closet, and one for the back side of my desk. 1. The closest. I ran the entire length up, over, and down the inside of the closet. Coupled with a wemo switch Amazon will turn it on and off for me. 2. These are super bright, I made the mistake of standing inside the closet when first turning them on. The desk. 1. 16.4 feet is a fantastic amount of lights to run your desk to, making corners with these lights are a little tricky but not bad. Sometimes I felt the sticky backing was on too tight when trying to get to it, and thought the lights would rip. They did not, so they are very strong. 2. I made the mistake AGAIN of sitting behind my desk when turning on the lights for the first time. Surprised I am not blind. Bottom line is, they stay on, they are bright, they stick, and I have had zero problems with them. I would absolutely recommend for anyone to just pick them up, and find a use for them. They add a lot of light, and stretched underneath a counter top or for a workstation these would work great.

Nice and easy to install underneath shelving or cabinets
Great cost effective way to add ambient lighting. Be careful when installing, the strip is very fragile and easily rips apart. Luckily for me Amazon gave me a full refund and I ordered another one. I installed it under a shelf in a new pantry I built. The dimmer switch is also a nice feature. Also this is only white colour and has no remote.

Very bright!
Decided to use LED strips as lighting in my small livingroom and decided to try these LE LED Strip Lights, 16.4ft 12V Dimmable Strip Lights, 6000K Daylight White, 300 Units 2835SMD LED Tape Light for Home, Non Waterproof, Power Adapter Included found here: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00MHLIFO8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was a little of a test as I never really player around with LEDs very much, I bought 2 while they were on sale, both little boxes came in one amazon box without wrap or anything, both work fine all LED are good. I am thinking of getting a channel with diffusing cover to put along the ceiling and these strips inside them, it should work fine since they are so bright. I got this white only dimmable strip as it mainly to replace lamps since there is no native ceiling lights in this livingroom. For now I just stuck the LED strip right to the stucco ceiling and they are holding on just fine though I did add a piece of packing tape (wide scotch tape for packages) to hold the dimmer in place in the corner which takes weight off the sticky strip behind the led strip. For the sticky strip while it sticky enough if you are not careful when peeling back the back paper you can actually pull the sticky right off the strip, it was fairly easy to tap push it back in place. That's why I gave the adhesion 3 stars for this issue I had. That said if you stick it to a plain flat wall it should stick really well and you could most likely lose some paint when pulling them off. For my stucco ceiling however is was pretty good! I included a small video to show how bright these are, looking forward to next year when I repaint the whole apartment as I will more than likely add in some LED strips here in there as pure white lighting and RGB music reactive one's in some places. These btw should work well with led channels as they are so bright! Will update if I have issues but if these last say one or two years I will be very happy considering that these in the video is only one roll of 16.4 ft and cost under 20$ CAD. Channels like this should work fairly well: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072MGVK9F/?coliid=I2PGLJA1HW4YMS&colid=1QRZZHRWEM46D&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it The power supply wire and more importantly the dimmer wire should be longer. For a nice set up you ideally want more reach for the dimmer so you can control better where the leds themselves start, would have been nicer if the led were only along the ceiling instead of coming down the corner like you see in the video but that not possible as is due the the dimmer wire being so short. btw there was no remote control with these ones.

Bright, Easy to Use, and Great for Cozy Lighting
These lights were exactly what I needed. They were quick to install, and I love that they use a dial instead of a tiny remote—those never seem to work right for me. The brightness is super easy to adjust and the daylight white color is perfect—not too yellow or too blue. I paired it with a wireless outlet remote so I can turn the lights on and off without reaching for the dial. It’s a great setup for my trailer bedroom, where the ceiling lights are too harsh at night. These create a much nicer vibe, and I actually enjoy hanging out in the room now.
