Just a pinch is enough to bring out the true Indian flavour. By far the best hing available in the market both in flavour and value. ### ⭐ Worst Asafetida ever bought *by M***L on May 17, 2022* I bought this after seeing rave reviews, but I was highly disappointed after using this. My first doubt was after receiving the packet because I did not get a faint smell of Asafetida and that is highly unsusal. No matter how you pack, smell of Asafetida will reek out of pack. Anyways, first I tried small quantity like half tea spoon during cooking. No smell , no taste. Then I tried 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, 2 tablespoons, to my disappointment, no taste, no smell. I chew one tiny bit of raw particle then I got slight taste. So in conclusion, it is highly highly diluted and just a hint of spice added to gum arabica.People who have used pure Asafetida, know that a size of 1/4 pea can ruin the dish with strong flavor. This is just waste of money and Amazon doesn't have policy to return this.Stay away from this product. Better you buy some brands like LG etc available in local indian store. The spice does a great job of standing in for both, and this is by far the largest quantity at the best price I've seen on Amazon so far. Only word of warning: definitely add sparingly. The flavor is very strong and hard to mellow if you accidentally overdo it.
