I upgraded from apple earbuds to this microphone due to my earbuds always eventually dying. I would say the sound of my voice is quite similar between the two, they are very comparable (apple earbuds - $20). The boom arm is convenient but I found that mounting it to the back of the desk is the best option, because if you mount it to the side it gets in the way of my second monitor, but when mounted to the back it is not a nuisance at all. My boom arm does swivel easily/move in ways I don’t want it to when I try to move it closer or to the side or further, etc. but I just have to adjust it a bit more when that happens. I found that the microphone cover accessory muffles my voice too much so I don’t use it. The other circular accessory (I forgot the name) doesn’t change much to sound quality, but I think it is supposed to protect the microphone from your mouths moisture?
