There was a slight blemish to the paint but not really an issue as it's hardly noticeable.It comes with a remote that switches from white light, to warm (yellow) light then cool (blue) light. You can dim the light also.Full brightness is enough to light a room perfectly. Dimmed is good for 'scared of the dark' bed time.You may have to amend your pendant fitting as this has a flat metal surface and the LED strips won't allow you to cut a hole for it.
