I have a little Morgan cross mare I purchased from a kill pen two years ago. I needed a horse my four year old granddaughter could work with and this darling little mare fit the bill. Needless to say, she had hoof and leg issues from being an Amish cart horse and daily pavement pounding. I immediately got her on a regular schedule with my farrier and she did well up until last fall. She had started showing some signs of Cushings-, heavier winter coat, occasional abscesses, weight gain in the usual areas. My vet did the two day blood draw and her numbers were within range for Cushings. We started her on Pergolide in November and adjusted her diet. In early January she developed the abcess of all abscesses in her right front. All four feet were warm. She was having a bad case of winter laminitis, in spite of the strict diet and pergolide. I called the equine specialist vet out who said the abscess was into the hoof bulb but was draining. I started daily soaking in warm saline and applying drawing packs to the hoof. 10 days later there was no improvement. My vet suggested we put her on Metronidazole for 10 days in case the infection had gone further into the soft tissue of her foot. Another farrier visit confirmed the abcess was too deep to open. In the mean time she was alternating bute and Banamine for pain and inflammation. An online friend suggested Lamina Saver. I started her on it after she had been dealing with the abcess and laminitis for two weeks. Within a couple of days her hooves cooled to a normal temp for her and her limping improved. She’s been on the loading dose for four weeks and her entire attitude has improved. She’s greeting me at the gate with her buddies and walking normally. She’s lost the cresty neck and fat pads over her eyes. I’m able to increase her low starch feed to slow her weight loss now, with no return of the hot feet. Yes, this stuff is pricey, but not nearly as much as the vet bills I’ve run up trying to get an answer for her. She’s looking and acting more like herself and I’ll continue to give her this as long as she lives. She’s the best little mare and my granddaughter would be so sad if something happened to her.

I have been using this over a year on my horse and made a tremendous difference in his Hooves My Farrier is very happily surprised at how well it has worked. I would definitely recommend this to anyone whose horses feet are not up to par. It has saved my horses feet.

My horse really struggles with laminitis in the spring. He basically gets zero pasture turnout when the spring grass starts coming in. His turnout time is limited year-round as well. Once I put him on Lamina Saver, it was almost instant relief for him. He is on the maintenance dosage now and I firmly believe in this product.

My 16 yr old gelding suffers from chronic laminitis. After 3 weeks on LaminaSaver, he is back to trail riding. He only hugged the side of the trail (where it is softer) the last 10 minutes of an hour's ride. He is cantering again, which he hasn't done for more than 5 strides for a few years. My only concern is that it is a proprietary formula so no list of ingredients. This causes two problems. First, you don't know what portion of the dose is actually helping to rebuild the lamina and what portion is pain reliever and anti-inflamatory, so you may be just masking your problem. Second issue is that you don't know what else to keep your horse on. Does he still need a magnesium supplement as all IR horses do? And why are they keeping all ingredients secret anyway? Do they have something to hide? Usually you get a portion of the formula revealed, at least the non-secret parts that are well known by in the market.

Been using this product for years because my Vet recommended it. Don't know if it works, one canonly hope.

I have an 22yr old Arabian gelding that was diagnosed with chronic laminitis. After changing feed to low starch and adding Laminasaver to diet he has greatly improved. Farrier is pleased with the improved hoof condition. Product is expensive but worth it. Showing no signs of lameness in a year now. Would highly recommend trying this product. Is not an overnight fix takes some time each horse is different. As instructed gave full scoop twice a day for 12 weeks (lameness gone) now on 1/2 scoop twice a day for 24 weeks in May will be on maintence of 1/4 scoop twice a day for remainder of life.

For this price I expectant this canister to be full - there’s a smaller bag inside it - feels like i got ripped off - come on ! It better work at least

This product is unbelievable . My 33 year old mare founder from lack of grass too much clover in pasture only was letting her out for 1/2 but with new hay even though she doesn't sallow the hay only makes spit balls she founder. Very very bad. She was insulin resistance but that is a argument with the vet who consistently says she has Cushing. I gave her 3 days of the cushing medicine and she seizure . Took her off that 15 years ago!!! I have maintained her with soaked tim pellets.(she has no teeth) .I thought it was over for her until i found this product . She pee alot due to the product keeping the Inflammation down . But she is recovering against everyone predictions. She never stopped eating and I managed her pain with banamine not a full dose but 1/4 dose AM+PM . It has been 2 months and wrapping her feet with towels soaked in epson salt AM&PM . But she is recovering and I know she is not in pain. Now i have low starch and low sugar hay, wash her mash of tim pellets off after soaking them. Made her turn out small and brought in pea gravel to help the hoof go back to concave . And it is all coming back for her. Why am I doing all this first because she was always a wonderful pal , she new her job was a 2nd level dressage horse and would do anything for you when you rode her. A commitment is a commitment she loves me and I love her!
