Actually it's bright purple (like Vikings purple). Holds its shape well and supported my large frame (5'9'', 210 lbs). The stuffing does flatten out pretty quickly, but I put lawn furniture cushions on it and it seems to work pretty well. Bought this with a gift card I got for being bumped off a flight, not sure I would have spent this much of my own money on it.In conclusion: Not especially pretty, but it gets the job done. ### ⭐ Poor Handling, Delayed Shipment, Damaged *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 12, 2016* This was a Xmas gift and the product itself is perfect for what I was trying to go for. Unfortunately, the way my unit was handled was very upsetting. Not only was the shipment constantly delayed by 2 weeks as it sat in one local warehouse for 6 days, but the box it came in had a huge gaping hole, the plastic wrap covering the chair had a huge rip exposing the chair and the chair's fabric had small cuts. The cuts in the chair may be attributed to the quality.The chair itself has its own issues. The adjustable head and foot rest portions are extremely sensitive to force and have a tendency to not stay locked into place when being sat on. Mind you, my niece weighs a maximum of 120 lbs. For a chair with an advertised capacity of 250 lbs, I don't understand why it isn't keeping form.Because the chair came in way too late prior to Xmas, I opted to gift the chair anyway.
