Dr. Dan's Cortibalm 1-Pack Lip Balm with 1% Hydrocortisone for Cracked Lips

I’m a waitress and my lips are often glowing red and incredibly painful after my shift. I also live in Minnesota, and our winters aren’t very gentle on the skin. I really didn’t know anything about this lip balm when I ordered it, except that it’s probably the very last product in the universe for dry painful lips that I’ve never tried. I routinely use aquaphor and I love it, but it doesn’t help once my lips are painful and inflamed. It also doesn’t help me during my shift even when applied before I walk into the bar. I also routinely use Tatcha lip mask, again, I love it, but it doesn’t help once my lips are painful and inflamed (although it does feel nice if you put it in the fridge before applying it!). I was at a loss… all my amazing products were only amazing in keeping my lips hydrated and soft - not in helping me get back to hydrated and soft. It was like putting on a bandaid, and I know y’all know what I’m talking about. So, I tried the cortibalm. I’m not kidding, within about 12 hours my lips felt amazing. I used it for about 2 days before switching back to the Aquaphor and you’d have never known my lips were bothering me. Ive had it for about a month now and after the initial 2 days of use, I now use it once before my shift and I’ve managed to avoid the extreme irritation that inevitably comes by the time my shift is done. It’s pure magic. Now, keep in mind this isn’t a sexy product. It doesn’t smell like coconuts or vacation, and it’s not a lip gloss. It’s literally a lip saver. This is the product you want when you’re trying to repair the skin barrier on your lips but not when you’re heading out on a date and need to add a little sheen. This is very hydrating, soothing, and fast acting. It does not have a scent (which I love) and it applies easily (it’s not dry or chunky on application) and you can feel the relief in no time. It does have hydrocortisone in it so I probably wouldn’t use it as my go-to around the clock every day, but using it before being outside in winter or before an activity (or waitressing shift) that you know dries your lips out is perfect. At this point, I don’t even need to reapply it - I just need to apply it once and it mitigates the damaged skin barrier. I can promise you, I will never ever be without this again. It’s just silly it took me so long to find this. I’ve already ordered the 3 pack since making this purchase.

My lips were extremely dry, peeling, and cracked, and nothing I tried seemed to help. I applied CortiBalm right before bed, and by the next morning my lips looked and felt about 85% better. I was honestly surprised by the overnight improvement. It felt soothing and gave my lips the relief they needed. I will continue using it according to the package directions until they are fully healed. This was definitely a great purchase for me.

i am not usually one to write amazon reviews, but i felt compelled here - this stuff ROCKS. i occasionally deal with stress-related angular chelitis flare ups that can typically just be managed with Vaseline, but this past August, i was experiencing a flare up + some kind of reaction to a new lip balm that left my lips extremely dry and cracked. it was driving me nuts - i tried vaseline, aquaphor, etc., to no avail. i hopped on amazon hoping i would find a product that actually worked, and this one certainly does! my lip issues were 100% cleared up in roughly 2-3 days. i have not had a recurrence of the issues and my lips are back to feeling hydrated. this stuff is the real deal!!

This product is incredible! I recently started taking Accutane, and my lips were severely affected. This is the only thing that prevents them from getting chapped and blistered. I highly recommend it. It has a thick consistency that lasts through the night. Additionally, it doesn’t have a gritty texture, nor does it have an unusual taste or smell, unlike some other reviews mentioned. Besides, I would prefer a medicated scent of lip balm over a fruity scent that doesn’t work.

REALLY GOOD ! was having such bad eczema on my Lips for months. Nothing helped except this !!! I hate the smell that’s why it’s 4 stars but i Deal with it because it’s the only thing i found to help (: my lips have never been so smooth before i forgot what it was like to have soft lips

This product is the only thing that fixed my daughter’s skin. We’ve been to drs, dermatologists, etc and nothing they recommend worked. Her lips and the skin around them were cracking, bleeding, itching and making her absolutely miserable. They’d even leak fluid and get crusty. When I say we’ve tried everything, we’ve tried everything. This is the only thing that helped. Her lips were completely healed within a week. We will always have a back up on hand! I can’t believe it the solution was an $8 lip balm after spending hundreds and hundreds on products and appts.

I don't know how this stuff isn't everywhere. I've had chapped peeling lips since this winter, so 6 mos. that no matter what I tried would not go away. I even tried the La Roche Posay cicaplast, slugging my lips with straight up vaseline at night, EVERYTHING. Nothing with stop them from peeling layers of skin every day. I used this for 48 hours and my lips stopped cracking and peeling and are totally back to normal. If this didn't work, I was going to go back to the dermatologist and see if I needed some sort of Rx or steroid to fix it because it was getting ridiculous. Cannot recommend this lip balm enough. Will be buying this to use daily going forward.

This is really a miracle lip balm. I just used two days. It started to solve my 15 years chapped lip problems. I have very bad habit to start biting my lip and picking my lips if I got tensed which ruined my lip . I tried almost most lip balms available on market to recover it. Only this one started to work from fast day. It also started to restore lip color. I am very happy that I found this. It also reduced my picking habit as my lip is no more dry. Best product I consulted three doctors to the same problem but still got no relief but this lip balm works like miracle I attached before and after picture that how this works wonderfully .

I had hoped the product would do what the reviews said...... For me, it is just a normal lip balm with NO outstanding results - my lips remain excessively as dry as before... I am so disappointed !

The best lip balm ever. Period. I'm on accutane 20mg (daily) for the last few months and in general have always had very dry lips cuz I'm always licking them making it worse. Ive tried all best ones in the market- sisley, clea de peau, rms, by terry, la roche posay, burt bees, jack black, blistex etc you name it and I must have tried it. However, this one is the best of them all. It really helps with chapped peeling lips. I normally use this and then use my other lips balms all through the day. The only negative is the taste/smell. I don't like that one bit but it's a tiny price to pay for healthy lips.

This is the ultimate solution for anyone who couldn't find a cure for their cracked lips which just wouldn't heal no matter what you did. I even visited dermatologists whose recommendations didn't work for me. The price is totally worth for me because I was at the verge of giving up because nothing else worked for me.
