Over-The-Door Hat Organizer for Baseball Caps, 1 Strap. Holds up to 36 Caps

This product definitely does the job to hold 36 hats, but I guess I didn’t realize before purchasing that “36 hats” means 3 hats per clip.... and it’s actually not convenient at all to pull 1 hat off a clip that has 3. It pulls the clip right off some of the time and it’s very annoying to clip it back on when the rack is full. We have less than 20 and it’s pretty cluttered. I bought this solely for the convenience, so that’s why I’m writing this.... either way, it looks great, and organized them well. Easy enough to install/assemble, although the clips are annoying to keep on when they’re full. I would purchase again for the price.

Bought this to hang my hats on. You can hang it from a door, from the ceiling or wall. I hung mine on the wall. it came with anchors and screws. easy to install, did the top and pulled the cord tight and did the bottom. I got the cord tight but not tight enough where there was going to be constant strain on it. the clips are tricky and this is what most one star reivews are about. You do have to be careful as these clips are a cheap plastic but like every other plastic item it'll break under too much pressure. Each clip has to anchor points for the cord, the top anchor you have to work the cord into and its a tight fit and will take some effort, this pretty much locks it into place so have you spots picked out before you install. The second anchor is just a clip that fits around the cord. Once your clip is on you can start adding your caps. I wouldn't do more than two per clip but you can get three on there. Overall the product does what it says and it does look nice one you get it together. Just take your time and be gentle with the clips and you shouldn't have any problems with this product.

It took me forever to finally set this thing up, but I’m really happy with it now that it’s done. The directions weren’t very clear, and if you’re mounting it on a wall, you’ll probably have to improvise a bit — the hooks provided aren’t quite adequate. I ended up securing it my own way with some hardware I already had, and it worked great. Once it’s up, it holds hats securely and makes it super easy to see and display them. We have so many hats that I’ll probably order another one for my other child. Overall, a great purchase — just be prepared to get a little creative with installation!

My second one, I have too many hats, but nicely clears up the clutter and has accessibility.

The Cap Rack consists of a thick plastic rope about 5 1/2 feet long and 12 plastic clips that attach to the rope. With the included hardware, the rope can be hung on the back of a door, hung on a closet rod, or attached to a wall or ceiling. Installation is easy. Once set up, each clip can hold up to 3 caps using the button on the top of each cap to secure them to the clip. The product is just as described in the listing. It was not easy to remove a cap if I wanted to wear it. I had to remove a clip from the rope, remove all 3 caps to get to the one I wanted, and then reattach the 2 remaining caps to the clip and reattach the clip to the rope. Also, when using the Cap Rack for 36 caps, they do not display well, with the undermost 2 caps on each clip mostly hidden. The Cap Rack works well for storage, but not for display or regular use of caps.

After working like a Uiger indentured servant for an hour, I was able to display only 9 baseball caps (see photo), to the point of seeing anything printed on the bill as well as the front of the cap. : Instead of sitting at a 90° angle to the ground, the caps hang down at a 45° angle. They are not supported to be level or parallel to the ground which would seem to allow displaying more caps properly and fully. : Practical for everyday use to wear caps? No. Touching or removing a cap in any way will cause another hanger to dislodge from the cord. You cannot move anything without having a second and third order effect related to moving or dishlodging another cap. : It was very difficult to attach the cap holders to the cord, again any adjustment to one would cause something else to become disconnected. This would be easy to fix if they had just designed a clamp that clamped onto the stretchable cord. : I do not think that so many manufacturers understand the concept of testing items with actual users, compared to just designing it with AI on a CAD program, maximized for manufacturing and shipping efficiency. : I am tired of assembling crap, and I would pay extra to have oversized packages of assembled products shipped to me. You could double the price if necessary. Maybe offer two price points, assembled or assembly required.

I have had two of these to display my collection of baseball caps, and they work wonderfully. I just bought a third one for additional caps. It is nice, but doesn't work as well as the first two, as the rope is thicker, and very difficult to attach the plastic cap holders to the rope, and almost impossible to move them on the rope.
