Repaired my exhaust with this! Saved me $$$
This stuff is great! I just used it to patch a cracked exhaust on our Toyota Corolla. I was about to invest 300 and parts plus an hour or two in labor. But when I inspected the exhaust closely from the Cadillac converter all the way back to the muffler. I noticed almost everything was in pretty good shape other than the one spot where there was a hairline fracture. Right after the joint, headed towards the muffler. On a whim, I decided to check on here to see what they had for muffler repair because I hadn’t been pleased with the local advanced auto had on the shelves. I found this and the JB weld muffler repair. I bought both, but I ended up going with this because I thought for my particular situation this would be the best. I’m glad I did. It was really easy to use. I prepped the area by wire brushing around the crack. And then using a rag with isopropyl alcohol to clean before applying. Wasn’t sure how much to use, but I put on a pair of latex gloves and cut approximately half the product to use. I mixed it with my hands while wearing the gloves until it was a uniform color and then I applied it to the crack all the way around the muffler. It was easy to apply and mold into the shape I wanted. It was only like 40° outside, so I propped up a heat gun from a distance and let that hit it for about an hour. After that, I didn’t start the car until the next morning but when I did, it sounded perfect again! So far I’m really happy. I haven’t driven the car much yet so I will keep the review updated. But so far I’m very pleased and hopeful based on other reviews. In my case, I would rate this an incredible value for the money!

Worked on auto muffler
Worked perfectly on several small holes and rusted seams on a car muffler. Most poor reviews are probably due to a lack of surface preparation. I used a wire wheel on a drill to prep surface to bare metal, cleaned with alcohol, mixed product thoroughly and had no problems. Several months later repair holding up fine.

Useful product
One of the feet on our electric skillet broke off. I first tried regular epoxy to reattach it; that quickly failed due to the heat. For a long time after that we propped the corner of the skillet up with a piece of wood--pretty crude and sub-optimal. I was about to give up and buy a new skillet when I found this product. It was easy to work with, and I used it to attach a small piece of angled steel in place of the missing leg. Works fine--so far it is standing up to the heat just fine, and the adhesion is good too. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the way it's packaged. There's one single cylinder of product, with the resin on the outside and the hardener occupying the center of the cylinder. You cut off a piece and knead it to mix the hardener in with the resin. What this means is that the hardener is not completely separated from the resin inside that cylinder of product. In my experience with similar epoxy putties, over time the whole thing hardens up and you have to throw it away. I'd prefer to have to separate sticks of material that don't touch each other until I'm ready to use them. Don't let this stop you, though, this is nice stuff.

When you need to ghetto weld something, this is it.
When a part is too expensive to fix, bust out with the JB Weld and slap that bad boy back together.

Works GREAT!!! Surface prep is key
As a 35 years-plus aircraft maintainer with the Boeing Co., I can attest that for any adhesive to work as advertised, you have to PROPERLY PREP THE SURFACE. • Sand away any corrosion and/or paint to a bare clean metal surface. • Using Acetone clean the surface being careful not to get the acetone anywhere it doesn’t belong. After removing the heavy grime wipe the area again with acetone and a clean white rag or Q-tip (depending on how big or small the area is) – Wipe area 1 time and in 1 direction, only. Repeat with clean wipe, each time, until contamination is no longer visible on wipe. • IMMEDIATELY AFTER – Using 90% (or better) Isopropyl Alcohol in a spray bottle, and a clean white rag or Q-tip – Wipe area 1 time and in 1 direction, only. Repeat with clean wipe, each time, until acetone has been wiped away. When possible, and when area is in a vertical position, spray area and allow to air dry. • After cleaning area be careful not to touch area with your skin as it will leave oils and adversely affect a good bond. • Note: Acetone draws the contaminants out of the metal. • If adhering plastics, you may want to just use the Isopropyl Alcohol on the plastic part and forgo the acetone which might damage some plastics.

Trés bonne colle haute température
Excellent produit qui m'a permis de réparer une pièce dans mon four qui monte à 270 °C Je le recommande Excellent rapport qualité prix dans une gamme où il est difficile de trouver un mastic qui résiste à une telle température
