The scopes were used side by side in the mountains to glass for deer, elk, bear ect. Even though it is less than half expensive, the little Kowa compared favorably or almost equal in many respects, but at much less than half the weight. Clear image, super lightweight, sits rock solid on a ultralight tripod, and fast to find subject. One super back country critter gitter ! Years later, still my "all the time" pack scope. weight is unbeatable.
