I have never really bought into the "home automation" stuff like the WiFi lights, doorbells, or thermostats, but I thought I'd try this as it was cheap.They came in basic packaging, with a pretty simple instruction booklet. Took me about 2 minutes to set it up, and it worked perfectly. I was honestly surprised to find out I could control it remotely (from outside the house not using WiFi as long as the plug is within range of the WiFi). I am very happy with this device so far and I will likely order another if I need more controllable plugs. 5 stars!As a side note: I included two pictures of the app that controls the device. It's really straight forward and includes things like connecting to Google Home and automating things by setting them on timers or at intervals. I like it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, a little tricky to connect to Echo *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2018* This was just what I needed for the space I am using it in. I have grow lights and a small table top fan - the fan is to keep air circulating so mildew is kept at bay. Both are plugged into the same outlet, and previously I used a timer (not the smart kind, regular manual set) for the lights. Inevitably, whenever someone slept in the room (guest room) they would pull out the timer because the light would bother them. I wanted a way to control both fan/lights at once, and independently (I'm not growing seedlings year round, just in spring). Had slight trouble connecting to outlet to the app - they could not "find" each other - but I finally put my phone/app right next to the plugged in outlet and that worked. I could then turn outlets on/off via the app very easily, as well as set programs/timer. (Have not experimented with scenes yet.) Connecting with Echo was a little more challenging - at first I seemed to be going around in circles between enabling the Alexa skill and connecting to the outlet, and I'm still not sure what I did to make it work, but that only took 10 minutes or so, and now I can tell it to turn on/off just the fan, just the lights or both. (I named them "fan", "growlight", and then for both together "fanlight". I'd recommend this product. As far as I can tell it's the only one offering dual controls.
