I'm an avid walker, walk 5+ miles/day, newly retired and noticed I starting putting on a bit of weight around the ol' mid section (slowing metabolism). So I decided to add weights to my walk routine. Before purchasing this belt, I'd bought a weighted vest. The vest was fine; but it put slight pressure on my spine and lower back which I didn't like; also, I looked like some sort of "commando" wearing it (blame my vanity lol!). So when I went searching for something I could wear under my clothing and stumbled on this belt, it was the PERFECT solution! Once I added the weights, the extra pounds started falling off!As described, this belt is adjustable and fits perfectly around either my waist OR my hips---depending on how I choose to wear it. And because the weight is carried along the waist and hips, I feel absolutely no pressure along my spine; when I walk, the weight seems better distributed throughout my core. Most of all, it has a slender design and doesn't add all that unnecessary bulk. I can wear it over my clothes OR under. And because of the slender design, it's almost undetectable at the waist under my walking shorts. Finally, it's well-constructed--you can tell they put a lot of thought into the design, which I appreciate. I wished they offered this belt in heavier options up to 15 pounds--I'd definitely purchase one in a heart-beat. I like that you can take out the individual weight and adjust the weight of the belt as needed. I am a 30 inch waist and I ordered the small/medium belt and with it cinched as tight as possible it still goes down onto my hips instead of staying around my waist. Not to crazy about that. By the end of the day the tops of my hips are a little sore. I wear this all day running all over the hospital at work. Suggestion would be to get a smaller belt than you think you need. You can always adjust up for a larger waist line but you can only adjust down but so far once you start losing the weight. Overall very happy with this product and recommend. I have other wrist, ankle and weight belts and to date this is the best as far as quality and wear & tear that I have found. Velcro is holding up nicely as is the belt, especially to be worn daily. I have had this belt and worn it Monday through Friday for about a month now. Better than wearing the ankle weights which stress all the lower extremities and the pelvic region. The belt is more centralized without putting stress on any major limbs or muscle groups. I really love this belt and actually wear it almost every day. I wear it under pretty much any kind of clothing, to include suits, casual wear, and the like -- as well as over my workout gear. I have a standing desk at work, and I walk a lot during the day, so I added this belt to give my daily movements that extra oomph. The only downside to this belt is that the weights are not inserted into their slots when you receive the belt -- you have to do this yourself. It was a giant pain in the ass to shove the neoprene corners over the weights. But with that said, the hassle was more than worth it.
