Does anyone know how to use the 'OVER-CHARGE' connection out of the controller? My original controller did not have this connection.

go to this website forum: www.endless-sphere.com. I'm not sure what you mean by overcharge connection. The only connections you need for the motor are the throttle, battery, and motor. If you don't need a connection on the controller, just ignore it.
