Has anyone experienced this with this drain?** A: I have not, but ours is more under the shower head so it would have to be straight down and our rain shower head hits about a foot back. I think any style with the trap under the grate will have that sound no matter the thickness due to the open space underneath. **Q: Will this work with a schluter kerdi shower system?** A: I think it can. **Q: can this be used for outdoor patio?** A: I don't see why this drain couldn't be used outdoors. I world treat it with kid gloves, I do, my drain is in a guestroom shower. I'm not sure how durable the black finish is. I appreciate the hair catch basket on this drain. **Q: Are you able to buy the removal tool by itself? My installers threw it out with the box and I can't get the grid off!** A: It’s nothing special. I would think any hook like tool would allow you to remove it. Harbor freight has a pick and hook set for 2 bucks. I’ve also got one of those dental scraper tools from dollar tree that I think would work if you have one. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ works great *by K***O on May 21, 2025* works great ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This square is only a replacement *by E***Z on July 4, 2022* Before you purchase this item! Please note this is just the top piece is not a complete set. The complete set has the flange that you need to install before the top square.I didn’t realize it was only the top piece and I purchase. I left the square drainer for my contractor to install. He use a rubber coupling to make it work but that is not the correct way to install it. The problem using only this part the square will not stay level and you need to have this peace level at all time. See picture #4 and you can see the water stay on the corner. Also by using this only the contractor didn’t have the correct slope around the drainer. He will return to correct the problem. (I purchase the complete set to fix the problems) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful matte black drain *by A***E on November 8, 2019* I love the look of this shower drain. My tile guy forgot that I had given it to him and he installed the standard little round chrome drain. Luckily I was able to notice before the tile went in so he was able to change it out to match my matte black fixtures. NOTE: Give this to your tile installer BEFORE he installs your tile pan!! He almost couldn’t use this because it has a little bit longer neck on it. He will need to pour the pan a bit deeper to fit this. Had ours been 1/4 “ more shallow, he couldn’t have used it. It would have been taller than the tile and not worked.It comes with a little tool to pop the top off for easy cleaning inside too. Love the modern square style.
