I think that, for the first time, I've finally found a product that actually lives up the hype. I used to have strong, long nails naturally as a teenager but as I moved to my mid twenties, they changed completely. I have a lot of health problems which, as you know, can affect your nail health, and I'm also a full time carer (lots of rubber gloves, laundry and alcohol gel) so my nails are no longer destined to be natural talons but I don't want to go down the route of falsies as I neither particularly like them and can't afford the maintenance of the things! After reading the reviews of Solar Oil both on here, and on other sites, I thought this mini bottle would be worth a try. I've already got through the first mini bottle, have got another one to live in my handbag and the full size one lives next to my bed. I would not be without this product. As my nails were in such a state, I began by applying this about 4 times a day, and any time after my hands had been in water for a long time. Within the first couple of days I could see a difference. I've been using it for almost three months now and my nails are even better than they were when I was a teen. They grow so much faster and don't peel, they don't crack and very rarely break. In fact, besides the odd chip, I've only had one major break in all the time I've used this stuff compared to at least one a week before. I know that the bottle looks small, but even using it heavily like I do, it lasts about a month, so that's less than Β£1 a week which is a LOT cheaper than a weekly professional manicure! One thing that does seem to help it work is if you slather on a really thick hand cream after your last application at night (I use Nivea, the dark blue pot). Definitely do this at night though as it's incredibly greasy so you won't be able to use your hands well for about 10 minutes but believe me, it's so worth it! The only downside of this product...I'm spending more on new nail colours than I have in years now that I have the nails to wear them - bought two new ones alone yesterday :) Review: Love it :'3 - I used to have very short nails until I convinced my self to stop nibbling and start growing!
