I had read reviews and gravitated towards this product due to the number of different ports, most of which I use on a daily basis for my work station setup (i.e. charging my mac, connecting to an external monitor, etc.) Initially I would have rated this product a 5/5 given the look of the product (sleek, easy to use). The only downsides I've experienced are the fact I can't keep a case on the base of my Mac due to the tight fit required by the adapter (which I knew prior to purchase) and that you have to double-check that your cables are snugly plugged in (I've plugged in my charger before, thinking it was charging, only to realize later that it hadn't been fully connected.)The reason I am rating this product a 2/5 stars is because LESS THAN THREE MONTHS after purchase, out of the blue, the HDMI and USB ports have stopped working completely. I keep my adapter on my desk at work and had used it daily, but have treated it very well - it does not leave my office, it has not been exposed to water damage, etc. It actually left me in the lurch because I was in the middle of a crazy work week and needed my second monitor. It was too expensive to quit on 3 months in. I have reached out to the manufacturer and received no response. ### ⭐ Dropped from 5 Stars to One! *by A***9 on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2018* I had originally posted a glowing 5-star review (see below), but that's now in the tank! Of the two "prongs" that insert into my MacBook Pro, one of them became loose after only a few days and now no signals from any port are transmitted to my computer! I am keenly disappointed and am returning the Hub for a full refund.-----------------------------------------------------This is the very best USB C hub adapter. It is solid, has a nice look and feel and, very importantly, it has 8 ports (not 7 or fewer as in all other hub adapters, except for one). The curved lip on the bottom makes it extremely rugged. The only other hub adapter with 8 ports is USB C Hub,Thunderbolt 3 Hub ALLFU 8-in-1 Type C Pro Hub Adapter which I had to send back because the power cord port would constantly short out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfectly *by P***. on Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2018* The media could not be loaded.  Works as advertised. One thing I like about this USB-C hub is that one of the USB-C ports can deliver the full ~87 watts of power that is needed to charge the 15" MacBook Pro. Some other USB-C hubs will top out at a certain wattage. Another nice thing is that the USB-C ports also support my USB-C to Ethernet adapter, which I've found other USB-C hubs don't work with. For some reason, though, when I use that USB-C to Ethernet adapter, my internet speed will only top out around 80Mbps, whereas when I connect it directly into my MacBook Pro I can get 480Mbps. Not too big of a deal, but something to keep in mind if you plan on using a USB-C to Ethernet adapter with this.
