It replaced the damaged plastic grill on one of my cabinets. It's not too thick the way I wanted it I can see the speakers Review: Excellent protection - This product provides the best speaker protection that I have come across. It is a woven plastic that is quite stiff and very strong. The appearance is very good indeed. But it is difficult to work with. It comes in a roll, so it already has a "set" that makes it difficult to work with. Plastics can be softened with heat to make them more pliable. But this material has a very low melting point that makes softening infeasible (it melts before it softens). My initial attempt was to stretch and tack an oversized piece to the workbench, and then glue the material to the edges of the frame. I tried to use super glue, but that didn't work, and I didn't have any of the quick drying adhesive that is made specially for this application. So I stapled the material to one of the long edges of the frame and then did my best to stretch and staple to the other long edge. I was unable to completely remove the natural "bow" that resulted from that cause by the rolled form it came in. But the result is still very good indeed. It looks better than the original and provides better protection. One other point to note: thai materal is thicker than the typical stock cloth. This causes an imperfect fit of the interior finishing frame. However, I doubt anyone will notice unless they look closely. Corners are very difficult because of the plastic threads splicing, but my grills are recessed so you can’t notice. Was fun cheap way to make my forte ii’s look sweet and confident again.
