Works very well
I used this for digging holes in my yard to easily add tree spikes in the spring. Ripped right through sod and dirt with a normal DeWalt drill. Dropped the spike in and moved on. I did water the yard before hand to help it cut a little easier, but I think it would have worked regardless. Just push down on your drill in light increments as you go, and keep it from biting too hard and youโll be fine. Sometimes it wants to just carve without ejecting soil but you just need to feather it if it does.

worked very well going 18 inches deep
Used it for putting in 24 inch trellis legs 18 inches deep had absolutely no problem going through the soil. it did tend to slip in the drill chuck a little but worked as it should

Longer than most auger bits so easier on the back. Fits regular drill bits but not quick release.
Made well. Sturdy. Used to dig out holes for Peony planting in Ohio clay. Easier on the back than the shorter auger bits. It will grab and twist your wrist if you hit a rock to don't use full speed at first. Dug 80 holes in 30 minutes so was very happy. I wish it would come in the quick release bit style so I ordered a bit adapter for my heavier drive drill. Happy with my order choice.

Heavy Duty and sturdy
Heavy duty Auger bit, however I found out that my brother purchased the same item at Walmart for 1/2 the price. Not happy about that but I am quite happy about the product.

Drill bit performance
This was the perfect thing needed for my garden. It was great for planting and removing weeds. I wish I had known about this earlier. It is very strong and durable. Well worth the money.

Would not buy again
This was not meant for our Missouri hard ground. Wanted to use it for a few smalls holes, and didn't even make it through 1 hole to drill for our flag post before it bent and then was unusable. Go a different direction and purchase something else unless you have very, very soft ground.
