Not safe since a child might swallow them as they are small enough. Considering they are clothes hooks then the magnet is liable to fall each time you put your coat on it. I suppose I can superglue it but the point is it’s not mentioned in product description. I saw something similar to this in ikea, better to buy from there. Apart from omitting they are magnets it’s a nice product and well made.
