Worked pretty good to expand a couple metal holes. Keep it sharp

I ordered the 14mm with a 1/2" shank, therefore it fits my drill with a 1/2" chuck, a strait 14mm bit won't fit my chuck, the shank is 3 sided for a good hold in the chuck and prevents slipping. I like the black nitride coating and the use of M2 steel. The bit cuts mild steel very well and has remained sharp, of course with the help of cutting oil. I haven't used the bit to cut other types of material but it works much better than other easily available bits in this price range, therefore I gave it 5 stars. I also like the plastic storage case.

I'm always building something and I don't have many bits that are 1/2 inch so I got this. I'll use it mostly for soft metals and wood so I'd expect this to last a long time. It cuts nicely and the flat edges on the shank lock into the chuck for a secure grip. That's both good and bad - it won't slip in the chuck but if the bit binds, it could grab and turn your wrist. I used this in sone aluminum angle and wood and it cut through both like a knife through hot butter.
