Review: Heavily built basic machine to get started with. - Arrived crated and on a pallet by an Ltl freight carrier. Weighs in excess of 500 pounds so plan accordingly. Basically comes assembled with the exception of a couple of handles. Everything feels solidly built. Comes with a tilting vice, a chuck with a MT#3 arbor, an adapter that appears to be MT#3-MT#2, and an M12 threaded draw bar. So far I have used a 2" face mill and some 1/4" end mills on mild steel and it ran them without a problem. There is a drain on the table for coolant so I plan on adding a flood setup. I have already made a drawbar with 3/8 threads for the more commonly available MT#3 collets. Changing belts around to change speeds is cumbersome, but I have had bad experiences with cheaply made electronic speed controllers in other machines. The motor and all of the belts, pulleys and bearings in this should be easy to replace. The LED light coming out of the bottom of the electrical box seems to get in the way more than help. I might move it to somewhere else on the box.
