The hexagon shape is good, although admittedly, the edges could be uncomfortable for some. The edges are not sharp at all, it's just the shape could hit some people in the wrong spot depending on how they hold their silverware. These have a really good heft to them, and since I'm fairly certain these are solid stainless steel instead of just a coating, they should look good for a very long time. I love that each piece comes individually wrapped so they can't get scratched at all during shipping.
