Remodeled our shower and swapped a 30A electric tank water heater for an outdoor propane tankless, which freed up the breaker to run this steam unit. The hot water heater was on the opposite wall of the shower, so plumbing and electric lined up perfectly. Install was straightforward, heats fast, and fills the space with steady steam. Quieter than some steam rooms I’ve used, and works perfectly for our shower size. I’d recommend having a good exhaust fan to clear steam after use.

It functions, but not well. The unit runs almost continuously and the operation is noticeably erratic. The control panel temperature fluctuates rapidly, constantly cycling up and down. The generator repeatedly engages to produce steam and refill with water, creating ongoing mechanical noise that significantly detracts from what should be a quiet, relaxing experience. I previously owned an earlier version of this generator and control panel, which operated smoothly and consistently. This replacement was dimensionally identical and installed easily without plumbing modifications, but performance is inferior. The instability and constant cycling are clear deficiencies compared to the prior model. Yes, its installed and placed correctly. The control panel is not on the same wall and is not in close proximity to the steam head.

Received the product. The digital control did not work. Got zero customer support. Horrible experience

This is a good quality sauna bath generator. I ordered the 4.5kw generator for a small steam room I built in my shower room. It heats up really fast and fills my 4'x4' steam room up in minutes. The steam generator puts out non stop steam as it should. The control panel has a really nice looking and bright screen that is very responsive and easy to navigate. This is a really good quality steam generator at a great price.

Reviewing SaunaSpa Builders Series 4.5kW Steam Bath Generator with Quickstart Continuous Steam, I admit, this is not an item I would’ve expected to get on Amazon, but I’m very pleased with the purchase. Our plumber suggested getting one online as it would be cheaper and to call him when we did. He told us what specs to look for to make it easier. When this came up as an option, I called him to go over the specs quickly and he agreed it sounded like it had everything necessary to move forward with our steam bath. He had it installed in no time and said it was a very easy installation. There were instructions and they have been very helpful for us in terms of how to operate. The steam comes out very quickly and adjusting the flow and temperature is very intuitive. The steam is highly responsive to the control panel (& quickly), which is something we were worried about, but it is not an issue. It runs quietly and we trust it to boil our skin! I am so in love with our steam bath. I just can’t believe we finally have it up and running. The hardest part for us was figuring where to put the control box but the plumber knew exactly where to place the control panel and the control box and it’s just perfect! Side note: the panel should not be placed directly by the steam heads (it wouldn’t be anyway since it should be at eye level).
